Hey! I’m Coach Rob, Fitness Professional and Certified Personal Trainer, here to help you achieve your health and fitness goals.

My fitness journey started many years ago, and it’s been quite the ride. From ups and downs, setbacks and mishaps, I know firsthand the challenges and triumphs that come with pursuing a healthier and active lifestyle. 

The journey began during my high school years when I initially enrolled in a personal fitness course without giving it much thought. Little did I know that this seemingly inconsequential decision would introduce me to some influential educators that would set me on the path I lead today. It set me towards the pursuit of a degree in Kinesiology and Health Sciences, marking the inception of my academic and practical exploration of the realms of fitness and self-improvement.

I saw positive changes in many areas of my life, both physically and mentally by regularly practicing good nutrition and exercise. I grew more confident and sure of myself, and was more focused and driven in my goals. When I learned and experienced the amazing benefits that exercise and living a healthy lifestyle could do for me, through theory and through practice, I was motivated to help others live their best too. That’s when I decided to pursue a career in Personal Training.

The road has never been easy. I've encountered my fair share of injuries and setbacks that impeded the progress of my own personal fitness journey. Sometimes the challenges went on for months, each one seemingly more difficult than the last. Overcoming them demanded strong mental fortitude and the support of those closest to me. I took it one day at a time and never gave up. Throughout having to start from the beginning each time, I matured with my approach to living a fit and healthy life. Good form and control were keys to longevity and injury avoidance; I stopped ego lifting. I learned the importance of the connection between physical and mental health, and how closely tied they are. I learned that health and fitness is more than just big muscles, physical strength, and the “ideal” body image that social media pushes on us on a regular basis. There are more ways to be fit than what we are told and shown. Balance is important. The journey truly is a marathon and not a sprint, especially if we want our hard work and efforts to last. The ability to do what you want your body to do, and do it well, are truly liberating experiences.

These events have given me with a wealth of invaluable lessons, and I continue to educate myself in all areas of fitness every day. They've enabled me to not only navigate my own obstacles but also extend a helping hand to others in their pursuit of a healthier, more resilient self, extending far beyond the realm of sets and reps.
